Much to everyone’s dismay, Ferrer was able to pull a victory over Rafael Nadal. This was his first win over a top 3 ranked player this year. It was D.F.’s first win against the Mallorcan in almost 3 years. Kinda cool, huh? 😉 Once again we’re gonna be able to see the Valencian in the Paris finals.
“I played maybe my best match this season…very aggressive with my forehand and with my shots.”
So Ferru’s up against Nole. I know that most people are going to pick the Serb to prevail over him, but hey- if he was able to beat the number one player in the world, then there is def. a chance he can do this well tomorrow. Nole did show some vulnerability in his semifinal against Federer in the first set. As for Ferru himself, he better take all his break point chances as best as he can. In the 2nd set David was up a break serving for the match, when Rafa broke back. I think Nole will be a tough player to break and wont allow his opponent back in momentum.
Anyway, I’m really excited that we’re gonna witness this final tomorrow. In my opinion these last couple of wins have been his matches this year. (Berdych, Rafa) 🙂 Take it easy guys…hope you guys have a great Sunday.
