Rafa wins Cincinnati

Rafa has struck gold again! He continues to make history in capturing masters titles. Winning Cincinnati for his first time enabled him to pick up his 26th masters title and his 59th overall title. On Monday he will be ranked 2 in the ATP rankings.

The Mallorcan beat John Isner in the final 7-6, 7-6. I was happy to see the American fight to the very end and honestly the match was quite close. It came down to playing the key points better in the tiebreaks. Rafa is just relentless! This is his first time winning two hardcourt titles back to back!

“It means a lot, being able to win two straight titles, two Masters 1000 on hard back to back is just amazing for me.”big john and rafa

I think he has a sure shot of Flushing Meadows at the end the month. Rafa has a good shot of finishing off 2013 as being ranked one in the world. with trophy

Marcel and Marc were able to make it the doubles finals. The Bryan Brothers used their experience as being the best doubles team and having home court advantage to win over the Spaniards. M&M haven’t been able to pick up a tile since last years Barclay’s. I know they’re still an overall successful team, but I think its high-time they earn [at least] one for this season!

I hope you guys have a good week. I’ll post again within a couple of days. 🙂
